98 Degrees
You’ve probably heard some songs from the famous 2.0 album in 2013. Well, that’s not where these guys’ journey started from. Established in 1996, 98 Degrees was a boy band with four members. Who were they?
The boys were Justin Jeffre, Drew Lachey, Nick Lachey, and Jeff Timmons. For several years until 2002, the band released four albums and some singles. Then, they reunited in 2012 for a performance that made them stick together for the popular 2013 album.
‘NSync
This famous band was formed in 1995 under the same record label as the Backstreet Boys. The band was a group of five boys: Joey Fatone, Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Lance Bass.
One of their memorable releases is “No Strings Attached,” which caught the world by storm in 2000. In 2006, they ceased being a boy band. However, they had a reunion at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. They also performed with Ariana Grande at the 2019 Coachella music festival.
Hanson
1990s youths can never forget the 1997 hit, “MMMBop.” Hanson is a boy band made up of three brothers, Taylor Hanson, Isaac Hanson, and Zac Hanson. From their debut album, “Middle of Nowhere,” their “MMMBop” single was a game changer.
Between 1995 and 2020, the band released 13 albums, including the famous holiday-themed album Finally It’s Christmas. In 2017, they celebrated their 25th anniversary on “Good Morning America.”
Backstreet Boys
With famous albums like “Millennium” in 1999 and “In a World Like This” in 2013, it’s no surprise that Backstreet Boys is the most successful boy band of all time. These guys have sold over 100 million records worldwide!
The band includes Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, and Kevin Richardson, who left in 2006 and rejoined the band in 2012. From “Black & Blue” (2000) to “DNA” (2019), “Backstreet Boys” have been serving us wonderful albums for decades.
LFO
LFO was a boy band of three guys: Brad Fischetti, Rich Cronin, and Devin Lima. They became popular after their hit in 1999, Summer Girls. However, they weren’t together for much longer; they went on a break in 2003.
In 2006, they announced that they were done for good after attempting a comeback. Sadly, in 2010 and 2018, Rich Cronin and Devin Lima died from cancer. Brad Fischetti started touring with O-Town in 2019.
