Airing for six seasons on CBS from 1993 to 1999, The Nanny was one of the highest-rated sitcoms in the late 90s. The sitcom entertained viewers with humor, 90s high-fashion outfits, and unforgettable characters. Centered around a woman employed to care for three rich kids, the comedy show made many of the featured actors popular. Well, where are these actors today? 

Charles Shaughnessy

Charles Shaughnessy played the role of Max Sheffield in The Nanny. Born to a TV writer and an actress, Charles became popular in the late 1980s for his role in the soap opera Days of Our Lives. After his role in The Nanny, we didn’t stop hearing his name.

Charles appeared on shows like Hannah Montana, The Mentalist, and Saints & Sinners. From 2010 to 2017, he resumed his role as Shane in Days of Our Lives. In 2021, Charles also acted in General Hospital as Victor Cassadine.

Madeline Zima

Of course, no fan of The Nanny can forget the smartest and youngest Sheffield kid, Grace Sheffield. Well, after The Nanny, Madeline hasn’t left the acting scene. It won’t be wrong to say her Grace Sheffield role paved the way for her.

She made appearances on different shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Gilmore Girls. She famously played the role of Mia Lewis in the drama series Californication. She also acted as the ill-fated Tracey on the 2017 revival of Twin Peaks. As for her love life, she has been very private about it.

Lauren Lane

Lauren Lane played the role of C.C. Babcock in The Nanny. Although she was already popular from her Sergeant Chris Novak role in the 1991 crime drama Hunter, Lauren didn’t stay in the acting industry for long.

Two years after The Nanny ended, Lauren left acting. She is famous for being on The Bachelor, but she got married to Chris Lane in 2019. She decided to focus on teaching and theater. Currently, Lauren Lane works as a full-time lecturer at Texas State University.

Nicholle Tom

Nicholle Tom acted as the famously preppy Maggie Sheffield in The Nanny. Although she acted as Ryce in the series Beethoven from 1992 to 1994, her role in The Nanny was her breakthrough performance.

After her role in The Nanny, Nicholle became Supergirl in the DC animations. She also played guest roles in shows like Castle, The Mentalist, and Master of Sex. In 2022, Nicholle acted in the film Prisoner of Love. Nicholle Tom isn’t married yet.

Fran Drescher

Can this list be complete without mentioning Fran Fine? Of course not. Having appeared in movies like Stranger in Our House and comedy films like UHF, The Nanny wasn’t Fran’s first major role- neither was it the last.

After The Nanny, Fran appeared in the 1996 film Jack. She also played similar roles in the sitcoms Happily Divorced and Living With Fran in the 2000s. She also made guest appearances on Mr. Mayor and Broad City, among others. She was in a romantic relationship with Shiva Ayyadurai from 2014 to 2016.
