Candyland

Incredibly colorful and easy to play, Candyland was created by a retired schoolteacher to entertain and distract patients in a polio wing. Back then, its creator didn’t think that it’d be such a hit, but we can safely say that this board game is now a household staple.

Apart from selling 40 million copies worldwide, Candyland went to space. In 1984, NASA astronauts took this game on board the space shuttle Challenger to play in zero gravity. Would that make it the first tabletop game to be put into orbit?
