For over 40 years, young tabletop game enthusiasts have engaged in spirited competitions involving four plastic animals and their insatiable appetites. In fact, Hungry Hungry Hippos is so iconic that we can all imagine the sound that hippos make when they finally catch the marbles, right?
Not only did Hungry Hungry Hippos get to most households in the 80s, but it also set a Guinness World Record in 2009. That year, 1,082 people played on 270 individual game boards set up in an indoor arena. It would’ve been great to participate, don’t you think?
