Paul Newman & Joanne Woodward
This is probably our favorite power couple on this retro list. Actors Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward met on the Broadway production of Picnic in the 1950s. By the time the 1960s rolled around, they were the paparazzi’s favorite couple who obviously loved each other very deeply.
Can you believe that they stayed married for 50 years? Sadly, Newman passed away from cancer at age 83 in 2008. Woodward is now 92 and is living with Alzheimer’s but still resides on the property the couple shared.
