Mascara & Eyeliner
The 40s saw the rise of the doe-eye look, and this style remained popular even through the beginning of the following decade. However, other eyeliner styles also appeared as makeup became more widely available. The most popular was the classic cat-eye, which also had its variations.
As the decade advanced, the cat-eye characteristic outward flick on the upper lash line became longer and more extended. Mascara as we know it today also appeared by this time in classic colors like black and brown, but also more daring ones like blue and white.
