Remember Those Tasty 90s Snacks? Here Are Healthier Ways to Recreate Them

90s kids had some of the best snacks of the century. The 90s was an era of prepackaged junk food- and we had more than enough to choose from! Now that we’re all about living and eating healthy, feeling nostalgic might seem like an abomination. The good news is that we can recreate these 90s snacks more nutritiously! Let’s dive in, and you’ll see what we’re saying!

Teddy Grahams

These little snacks were a hit in the 90s. They were fun to eat, but that was after playing with them. With just a few new ingredients, you can get the same sweet and tangy taste without overindulging in sugar.

For a healthier version of these tasty treats, simply incorporate chia seeds, raw cacao powder, and coconut oil. Also, use a bear-shaped cookie cutter to recreate the famous image. For the ultimate satisfaction, serve these DIY Teddy Grahams with a glass of milk– almond of course.

Ring Pops

This wearable hard candy jewel reigned supreme from the mid-80s and into the 90s. They came in tasty flavors like watermelon, raspberry, strawberry, and lemonade. Although you might not want to wear the rings anymore, you can enjoy their taste.

To make the perfect pops, you need Jell-O and water. Mix the powder as usual, and put it in ring mold shapes. Enjoy them on a stick instead of flaunting them on your finger.

Rice Krispie Treats

This version of Krispie Treats beats the original. The gooey taste that makes us so nostalgic remains intact, so you can’t be disappointed. So, what changes should be made?

Instead of using the butter as it is, we recommend that you brown it to enhance its flavor. Furthermore, you could coat your homemade treats with sprinkles for a unique touch.

Bagel Bites

You don’t even have to be a 90s kid to agree with us that bagel bites are the ultimate freezer delicacy. So, how do you get that unique 90s bagel bite taste and also add a dose of nutrients at the same time?

All you have to do is cut your mini bagels into two and spread them with mozzarella and tomato paste. For the topping, you can add diced green pepper, pepperoni, and any other thing you’d like. You’ll have a delicacy in your toaster oven in a few minutes.

Dunkaroo Dips

Does the issue of too many cookies and insufficient frosting sound familiar to you? Of course, it’s an age-old problem associated with our beloved Dunkaroos. Well, you can solve that problem—even more healthily.
