The launch of Skylab
What could be better than taking people to the Moon and back multiple times? Honestly, we can’t think of anything. Nonetheless, the people at NASA did know what they had to do to revolutionize the history of space exploration once again: launch the first space station into orbit.
In 1973, NASA launched Skylab, a space station with multiple modules, including living quarters, a workshop, and a solar observatory, that orbited the Earth for six years. This spacecraft provided a platform for scientific research and helped develop technologies and techniques for long-duration spaceflight.
