The launch of the High Energy Astronomy Observatories (HEAO)
Right now, you may be wondering, what else could NASA have achieved during the 70s? Well, you’d be surprised to know that, at the end of the decade, this space agency decided to launch a series of three spacecraft to help scientists learn more about the universe.
The High Energy Astronomy Observatories were three high-tech spacecraft sent into orbit to observe black holes, supernovae, and active galactic nuclei, among other curious phenomena. Thanks to HEAOs, we can now understand the high-energy universe and keep digging into all space mysteries.
