The original PlayStation, released in 1994, got the company off to a great start, becoming the first video game console to sell 120 million units. Despite stiff competition from the Nintendo 64 console and the Sega Saturn, the PlayStation was a huge success back then.
The Playstation placed a high value on 3D polygon graphics, which clearly paid off. In addition to exceptional graphics, the PlayStation offered a large game library, popular franchises, and a low price. This device is still as popular as ever, with the simple-to-install PlayStation 5 currently being a highly sought-after console.
